Johann Philipp Hartmann, his wife Johanna, and sons (Just, age 12; Anton, age 7) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard a ship under the comand of Skipper Franz Nikolaus Schröder.

Johann Philip Hartmann, his wife Johanna, and sons (Jost Heinrich, age 13; Anton, age 7) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Johann Philipp Hartmann, a farmer, his wife Sophia, sons (Just, age 14; Johann Anton, age 8), and brother Christian (age 20) are recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Beauregard in Household No. 7.

Anton Hartmann's widow and sons are recorded on the 1798 census of Zürich in Household No. Zr33.

Christian Hartmann, a widower, is recorded on the 1798 census of Zürich in Household No. Zr08.

The 1767 census records that Johann Philipp Hartmann came from the German village of Lanzenbach.
