Johann Gauersmann [sic], a farmer, and his wife Elisabeth arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 21 July 1766 aboard a koff named Alette under the command of Skipper Wybe Hendricks.

Johannes Hausmann [sic] and his wife Anna Elisabeth are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Dehler on 19 August 1767 and Elisabeth died there on 9 November 1767. Johann Gauersmann is recorded on the 1767 census of Dehler in Household No. 41.

This Johann Gauersmann is believed to be the deceased Johannes Hauckmann recorded on the 1798 census of Dehler in Household No. Dl27.

Zacharias Hauckmann and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Dehler in Household No. 101.

Johannes Hauckmann, son of Zacharias Hauckmann, and his family are recorded on the 1850 census of Dehler in Household No. 106.

Johannes Hauckmann and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Dehler in Household No. 115.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johannes Gauermann [sic] came from the German region of Trier. The 1767 census records that Johannes Gauermann [sic] came from the German village of Wirges in the Trier region.
