Johann Hauert, a carpenter, his wife Margaretha and their children (Katharina, age 8; August, age ½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 June 1766 aboard an English barque named George under the command of Skipper Adam Bairnsfair.
Heinrich Gauert [sic], his wife Margaretha, and son August (age ½) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that father Heinrich died en route.
Son August Hauert is recorded on the 1798 census of Boisroux in Household No. Bx16.
The death of August Hauert in 1828 is recorded on the 1834 census of Boisroux in Household No. 24.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Gauert came from the German region of Zerbst.
