Jeremias Hecht, a miller, and his wife Maria Katharina arrived from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 11 August 1766 aboard a Russian galliot named Citadel under the command of Midshipman Gregory Bukharin.
Jeremias Hecht, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his wife Katharina settled in the Volga German colony of Walter on 25 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 82.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Jeremias Hecht came from the German region of Würzburg. The 1767 census records that Jeremias Hecht came from the German village of Kiznen [?] in the region of Werzenberg [Wüttemberg?].
There are no known surviving male lines of this Hecht family among the Volga German colonies.
