Jakob Henselmann, a farmer, and his wife Katharina settled in the Volga German colony of Rosenheim on 15 March 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 42.

The 1767 census records that Jakob Henselmann came from the German village of Ettlingen in the Markgrafschaft Baden-Durlach.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
