Herl (Brabander)*
Konrad Herel [sic], a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 September 1766 aboard the galliot Der Jan under the command of the skipper Markus Dragun.
Conrad Hirl [sic] is recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 19 August 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 127.
The 1767 census records that Konrad Herel came from the village of Busendorf in Bayern (Bavaria).
There are no known surviving male lines of this Herl family among the Volga German colonies.
