Hermann (Warenburg)
Johann Ludwig Hermann and his sister Anna Margaretha arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 13 September 1766 aboard the hooker Die Jungfer Dietrika under the command of Skipper Christian Korsholm.
Ludwig Hermann (age 20) and his sister Anna Margreta (age 19) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Warenburg on 12 May 1767 where Ludwig is recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 111.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Ludwig Hermann was a miller from the German region of Homburg. The 1767 census records that he was a coppersmith (Kupferschmied) from the region of Humberg [?].
