Herrwald
An article by Hermann Wäschke records the following going to Russia:
Gottlieb Geewald [sic], a day laborer (Tagelöhner), from Wörlitz.
Gottlieb Herrwald, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Gottlieb Heerwaldt, his wife Regina, and children (Gottlieb, age 14; Martin, age 5¼; Maria Elisab., born en route) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Boisroux on 3 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 30.
In 1776, Johann Gottlieb Herrwald moved from Boisroux to Katharinenstadt. In 1784, Johann Martin Herrwald moved from Boisroux to Paulskaya. The 1798 census of Katharinaenstadt records Gottlieb Herrwald from Cäsarsfeld in Household No. Ka125.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Gottlieb Herrwald came from the German region of Dessau.
