Franz Honecker, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and son Joseph (age 1) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard the galliot Adler under the command of Skipper Paul Adam Drath.
Frank Hungeler [sic], his wife Elisabeth, and newborn son Anton are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Hölzel on 11 September 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 6.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Franz Honecker was a farmer from the German region of Alsace. The 1767 census records that he was a merchant (Kaufmann) from the German village of Schulz in the Alsace region.
There do not appear to be surviving male descendants of this Honecker family among the Volga German colonies.
