Lorenz Huber, a farmer, and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Louis on 14 June 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 6.

In 1782, Lorenz Hubert and his family moved to Moscow.

The 1767 census records that Lorenz Huber came from the German village of Eckenfein in Bayern (Bavaria).
