Jakob Hussenbach, a tailor, and his wife [Anna] Maria [Bierbach] arrived from Danzig at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 May 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Jacob Janson.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Hussenbach. It is after Jakob Hussenbach that the colony of Hussenbach took its name.
In 1788, widow Anna Maria Hussenbach moved to the Volga German colony of Grimm where she married Philipp Roth. She is recorded there on the 1798 census in Household No. Gm099.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Jakob Hussenbach came from the German region of Frankfurt am Main.
There do not appear to be any surviving male descendants of this Hussenbach family among the Volga German colonies.
