Christoph Jäger, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 28 July 1766 aboard a Russian pink named Vologda [an historic Russian city] under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Bartenyev.

Christopher Jäger (age 20), a farmer, and his [new] wife Anna Katharina (age 24) are recorded on the 1767 census of Krasnoyar in Household No. 102. They had arrived in Krasnoyar on 20 July 1767.

In 1788, Christoph Jäger and his family moved to the Caucasus.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Christoph[er] Jäger came from the German region of Hanau.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Jäger family among the Volga German colonies.
