The parish register of St. Mauritius Catholic Church in Heimersheim records the baptisms of the following children born to Johannes & Katharina Jopp: (1) Maria Elisabetha, born 4 March 1764.

Johann[es] Job [sic], a farmer, his wife Katharina, and children (Anna Maria, age 18; Lorenz, age 13; Maria Elisabeth, age 3) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 June 1766 aboard the ship named Die Neue Fortuna (The New Fortune) under the command of Skipper Ahrens Steingraber.

Johannes Job [sic], his unnamed wife, and unnamed three children are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

They arrived in the Volga German colony of Keller on 11 August 1767. Johannes survived and remarried to Elisabeth, the widow of Franz Spithoff, and is recorded on the 1767 census of Keller in Household No. 61 along with her son Peter (age 11).

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Jopp came from the German region of Pfalz.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Jopp family among the Volga German colonies.
