Andreas Jung, a teacher (Lehrer), and his wife Maria Margaretha are recorded on the 1767 census of Warenburg in Household No. 138 along with a note that they relocated to the colony of Kukkus in 1768. They had settled in Warenburg on 12 May 1767.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Andreas Jung came from the German region of Pfalz. The 1767 census records that Andreas Jung came from the German village of Tschernmerstein [?] in the region of Kurpfalz.
