Georg Jung, a craftsman (Handwerker), settled in the Volga German colony of Reinwald on 14 July 1766. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 38 along with his new wife, Elisabeth Dorothea from the German village of Blag in the region of Sachsen (Saxony).

The 1767 census records that Georg Jung came from the German village of Merseburg in the region of Sachsen (Saxony).

There are no known surviving male lines of this Jung family among the Volga German colonies.
