Anton Kaspar, a farmer, and his wife Katharina settled in the Volga German colony of Chasselois on 2 August 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 30.

The 1767 census records that Anton Kaspar came from the German village of Liebau in the region of Schlesien.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Kaspar family among the Volga German colonies.
