Ludwig Kasson, a farmer, his wife Anna, and children (Melchior, age 22; Konrad, age 18½; Adam, age 15; Eva age 8) arrived from Reval [Estonia] at the port of Oranienbaum on 30 May 1766 aboard the pink Novaya Dvinka under the command of Lieutenant Ivan Perepechin.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Göbel on 25 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 46 along with Ludwig's new wife Maria Frick.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Ludwig Kasson came from the city of Paris. The 1767 census records that Ludwig Kasson came from the German region of Worms.
