Kaul
Franz Kaul, a farmer, and his wife Katharina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Kamenka on 20 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 94.
Katharina, widow of the deceased Franz Kaul, and their son Michael Kaul (age 13) are recorded on the 1798 census of Kamenka in Household No. Km017.
The 1767 census records that Franz Kaul came from the region of Büdingen.
