Kehr (Moor)

Andreas Kehr, son of Johann Jost Kehr, was baptized in Metzebach on 7 March 1723. He married on 23 August 1750 in Landefeld to Catharina Döring, daughter of Balthas[ar] Döring. 

The baptisms of two children to Johann Jost Kehr & Catharina Döring are recorded in the parish register of Landefeld: (1) Burckhardt, baptized March 11 1753; and (2) Anna Martha, baptized 7 May 1756.

Andreas Kehr died, and Catharina married on 23 February 1766 in Landefeld to Johann Christian Göbel, son of Johann Adam Göbel & Anna Martha Schlegel. He had been born in Ellingerode on 10 December 1735 and baptized on 11 December 1735.

Christian Göbel, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and [step-]children (Johann [Kehr], age 15½; Anna [Kehr], age 10) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a galliot named Kronstadt under the command of Lieutenant Samuel Gibbs.

Christian Göbel, his wife Katharina, and [step-]children (Johann [Kehr], age 14; Anna Martha [Kehr], age 5) are recorded on the 1767 census of Moor in Household No. 70.

The 1775 census records Christian Göbel, his wife Katharina, his stepson Johannes [Kehr], and his stepson's wife Katharina.

Burghardt Kerr and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Moor in Household No. Mo46.

Anna Maria [sic] Kerr, the wife of Johannes Böhm, is recorded on the 1798 census of Kutter in Household No. Kt01.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Christian Göbel came from the German region of Hessen. The 1767 census records that he came from the German region of Isenburg.
