Discussion & Documentation

Franz Kemmerer was born about 1791 in Obrol [?].

He served as a soldier in the 11th Light Cavalry Regiment of Napoleon's Army.

He fought against and was captured by the Russians.

In 1814, he was settled in the Volga German colony of Yagodnaya Polyana.

Milovidov records that as of 1814, his father, mother, one brother, and one sister were still living in Obrol [?].

His children are recorded there on the 1834 census of Yagodnaya Polyana in Household No. 183.

Milovidov records that Franz Kemmerer came from the Obrol [?] where he had been a peasant.
