Kirchgessner (Pfeifer)*
Johann Kirchgessner, a farmer, his wife Maria, and son Johann [Philipp] (age 4) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a galliot named Kronstadt under the command of Lieutenant Samuel Gibbs.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Pfeifer.
In 1788, Philipp Kirchgessner moved from Pfeifer to Göbel.
Philipp Kirchgessner and his wife are recorded on the 1798 census of Göbel in Household No. Gb47.
The death of Philipp Kirchgessner in 1831 is recorded on the 1834 census of Göbel in Household No. 59. The parish register of Göbel records Philipp's death on 10 September 1831.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Kirchgessner family among the Volga German colonies.
