Kilianus Kitschler from Stift [diocese of] Fulda & Maria Margaretha Her [sic] from Heuchelheim near Giessen were married on 15 April 1766 in the Lutheran Church of Friedberg.
Kilian Kigler [sic], a cobbler (Schuhmacher), and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 11 June 1766 aboard a snow-brig named Der Jäger (The Hunter) under the command of Skipper Gabriel Will.
Kilian Kütschler is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Kilian Kitschler, a cobbler (Schuhmacher), and his wife are recorded on the 1767 census of Seelmann in Household No. 5 along with an orphan Elisabeth [surname not recorded] (age 16). They had settled there on 15 July 1767.
Kilian Kitschler and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Seelmann in Household No. Sm59.
The death of Kilian Kitschler in 1818 is recorded on the 1834 census of Seelmann in Household No. 131.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Kilian Kigler [sic] came from the German region of Fulda. The 1767 census records that Kilian Kitschler came from the German region of Fulda.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Kitschler family among the Volga German colonies.
