Klauser (Pfeifer)*

Franz Klauser, a cobbler (Schuhmacher), his wife Katharina, and children (Johann, age 13; Katharina, age 5; Klaus, age 1½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 22 July 1766 aboard the pink Lev under the command of Lieutenant Fyodor Fyodorov.

Franz Klauser, his wife Katharina, and children (Michael, age 13; Katharina, age 6; Johannes, age ¼) are recorded on the 1767 census of Pfeifer in Household No. 14. They had settled there on 20 August 1767.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Franz Glausner [sic] came from the German region of Friedberg. The 1767 census records that he came from Orb.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Klauser family among the Volga German colonies.
