Discussion & Documentation

Friedrich Klein was born about 1789 in Offenbach. He was a butcher.

He served as a non-commissioned officer in the 8th Hussar Regiment of Napoleon's Army. He fought against the Russians and was captured.

Milovidov records that as of 1814 his father, mother, brother, and sister were still living in Offenbach.

He was settled in the Volga German colony of Huck and assigned to the Household of Friedrich Fein.

Milovidov records that Friedrich Klein came from the German town of Offenbach in the region of Frankfurt am Main.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Klein family among the Volga German colonies.
