Christian Klein, a furrier, his wife Anna, and children (Friedrich, age 3; Barbara, age ½) arrived from Danzig at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 April 1766 aboard a two-masted merchant ship named Der Kleine Andreas (The Little Andrew) under the command of Skipper Jacob Jensen.
This is believed to be the deceased Christian Klein recorded on the 1798 census of Hussenbach in Household No. Hs055, because he was traveling with Jakob Hussenbach, the founder of the Volga German colony of Hussenbach.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Christian Klein is from the German region of Prussia.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Klein family among the Volga German colonies.
