Nicolaus Cleyn [sic] & Catharina Rupp were married on 28 May 1765 in Roßlau.
Nikolaus Klein, a farmer, and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Mariental on 14 June 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 69.
The 1767 census records that Nikolaus Klein came from the German village of Rixingen in the Lothringen region.
