Joseph Kleinschmied & Eva Rosina Magdalena Koch were married on 28 June 1766 in the Reformed Church in Lübeck.
Joseph Kleinschmidt, a farmer, and his wife Eva arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aboard the galliot Anna Catharina under the command of Skipper Johann Joachim Janson.
Joseph Kleinschmidt and his wife Anna Magdalena [sic] are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They arrived in the colony of Boisroux on 3 August 1767 where they are recorded on the appendix to the 1767 census of Boisroux in Household No. 20.
They relocated to the colony of Cäsarsfeld in 1768.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Joseph Kleinschmidt came from the German district of Hessen.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
