Johann Knoll, a farmer, his wife Anna, and son Johann (age 5¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a barque named Fortitudo (Fortitude) under the command of Skipper John Scott.

Johannes Knoll, a farmer, his wife Anna Katharina, and children (Johann Heinrich, age 7; Anna Katharina, age ½) settled in the Volga German colony of Krasnoyar on 20 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 65.

In 1788, Heinrich Knoll moved from Krasnoyar to Stahl am Karaman.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johannes Knoll came from the German region of Danzig while the 1767 census records that he came from the German region of Stadt (?).
