Knopf (Frank)
Kaspar Knopf, a farmer, and his family arrived from Reval [Estonia] at the port of Oranienbaum on 30 May 1766 aboad the pink Novaya Dvinka under the command of Lieutenant Ivan Perepechin.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Frank in 1767 and they are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 8.
Konrad Knopf is recorded on the 1834 census of Walter in Household No. 207 as the stepson of Konrad Streck. He is recorded again on the 1857 census of Walter in Household No. 213 and the 1857 census of Brunnental. This Knopf is most likely connected to the Knopf family of Frank.
The 1767 census records that Kaspar Knopf came from the German village of Mauerwelt in the region of Fulda.
