Widower Johannes Koch, a farmer, settled in the Volga German colony of Warenburg on 12 May 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 95 along with his son-in-law Johann Georg Krämer.
The 1767 census does not record from where Johannes Koch came.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Koch family among the Volga German colonies.
