Andreas Kolb, a single man, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Die Perle under the command of Skipper Thomson.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Kolb on 13 May 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 1 along with a note that he is serving as the colony's mayor (Vorsteher). Recorded in the same household are orphans Christian Adam and Anna Maria Pfeifer.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Andreas Kolb was a miller while the 1767 census records that he was a craftsman (Handwerker).
