Jacob König and his wife Dorothea are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Andreas Jakob König, a single ropemaker (Seiler), is recorded on the 1767 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 175 working as a day laborer (Lohnarbeiter). He had arrived in Katharinenstadt on 27 August 1767.
The Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Jakob König came from the German village of Nordhausen.
