Hermann [sic] Koreka, a farmer, his wife Anna, and son Valentin (age 12) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on a ship under the command of Skipper Wiebe Heinrichson.
Father Peter [sic] Koreka died along with his wife. Son Valentin settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 28 August 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 20 along with Just Freude and his wife. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Koreka and Freude families.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that the Koreka family came from the German region of Kolognik?.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
