Korn (Leitsinger)
Daniel Korn, a farmer, and his wife Barbara arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the snow-brig Frei Gebruder under the command of Skipper Minzberger.
Daniel Korn and his wife Barbara are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Leitsinger on 19 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 55.
The 1767 census records that Daniel Korn came from the German village of Michelfeld bei Auerbach [?] in the Bayreuth region.
There to not appear to be any surviving male descendants of this family among the Volga German colonies.
