Johannes Crämer married on 3 October 1747 to Catharina Dorothea Meß.

The baptisms of the following children born in Heimertshausen to Johannes Crämer & Catharina Dorothea Meß are recorded in the parish register of Billertshausen: (1) Johannes, born 25 August 1748, baptized 26 August 1748, died 29 March 1749, buried 31 March 1749; (2) Johann Georg, born 10 March 1750, baptized 11 March 1750; (3) Anna Elisabetha, born and baptized on 10 December 1752; (4) Johannes, born and baptized on 12 January 1756; (5) Maria Elisabetha, born 30 March 1759, baptized 1 April 1759; and (6) Abel, born 17 April 1762, baptized 18 April 1762.

Johann Krämer, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and children (Johann [Georg], age 16; Anna, age 15; Johannes, age 10½; Maria, age 7; Abel, age 4) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the barque named Fortitudo under the command of Skipper John Scott.

The surviving children settled in the Volga German colony of Müller on 16 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 9.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Krämer came from the German region of Darmstadt. The 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Zell.
