Johann Peter Kreick, son of Johann Melchior Kreick of Schlierbach, married on 24 July 1752 in nearby Hellstein to Elisabeth Schäfer, daughter of Johann Conrad & Elisabeth Schäfer. Elisabeth Schäfer had been baptized in Hellstein on 7 July 1726.
Johann Peter & Elisabeth Kreick had 4 children who's baptism are recorded in the Hellstein parish records: (1) Johann Georg, born 19 November 1752; (2) Johann Jacob, born 17 February 1754; (3) Anna Magdalena, born 25 December 1755; and (4) Charlotta Friderica, born 18 October 1756.
Peter Kreick, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and children (Johann Georg, age 15; Magdalena, age 10) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 along with Elisabeth's mother and three of her brothers.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Huck on 9 August 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 78. They were still living in Huck when the 1798 census was taken, and are recorded there in Household No. Hk94.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Peter Kreick came from the German region of Isenburg.
