Peter Kreipen [sic], a farmer, his wife Maria, and children (Maria, age 23; August, age 21; Franz, age 18; Johann, age 13; Peter, age 11; Franziscus, age 9; Andreas, age 5; Maria Franziska, age 2) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 24 July 1766 aboard a barque named Georg under the command of Skipper Adam Bairnsfair. Most of this family appears to have died shortly after arrival in Russia.
Augustin Krepin, a single farmer, is recorded on the 1767 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 219.
His sister [Maria] Françoise is also recorded on the 1767 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 220.
Augustin Krepin (age 30) and his brother François Collestin (age 26) are recorded on the 1776 Katharinenstadt Grundbuch [Land Register] in Household No. 200 along with a note that Augustin married and moved to Mariental.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Peter Kreipen [sic] came from France. Both the 1767 census and the 1776 Land Register record that Augustin Krepin came from the French village of St. Hilaire.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
