Christian Krieger, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Nikolaus Peter Pink.

He is recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Nieder-Monjou in Household No. 18 along with a note that he relocated to the colony of Basel in 1768.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Christian Krieger came from the German region of Dessau.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Krieger family among the Volga German colonies.
