Two Konrad Krüger families arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 11 June 1766 aboard a galliot named Der Junge Mattias (The Young Mattias) under the command of Skipper David Wohlert and settled in the Volga German colony of Göbel on 20 June 1767. They are assumed to be father and son, but this relationship is not recorded in the documents.
(1) Konrad Krüger, a farmer, his wife Maria, and children (Nikolaus, age 20; Georg, age 13; Dorothea, age 6) arrived in Oranienbaum.
Konrad Krüger (age 50), a farmer, his wife Maria Elisabeth (age 50), and sons (Nikolaus, age 22; Johann Georg, age 15) are recorded on the 1767 census of Göbel in Household No. 65.
Nikolaus Krüger (age 54) and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Göbel in Household No. Gb27.
Johann Georg Krüger (age 43) and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Göbel in Household No. Gb18.
(2) Konrad Krüger, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and mother-in-law Anna [surname not recorded] arrived in Oranienbaum.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that both of these Krüger families came from the German region of Braunfels. The 1767 census records that they came from the German village of Beselich [?] in the Braunfels region.
