Catharina Kuhn, daughter of Johann Jost Kuhn & Elisabeth Gerd, was baptized in Hüttengesäß on 14 August 1711.

She married 12 June 1727 in Hüttengesäß to Johann Caspar Zieg. [See Zieg Family.]

Katharina Zieg née Kuhn arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 along with her son Philipp.

Katharina Zieg née Kuhn settled in the Volga German colony of Balzer on 1 July 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 6.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Kuhn family among the Volga German colonies.
