Hanß Lang & Elisabeth Hehnlein were married on 18 June 1766 in Roßlau.
Johann Lang, a farmer, and his wife Elisabeth arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 16 August 1766 aboard a galliot named Die Wachsamkeit (Vigilance) under the command of Skipper Jacob Heinrich Sager.
Johannes Lange [sic] and his wife Elisabeth are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Hölzel on 11 September 1767 and are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 16.
In 1793, Friedrich Lang moved from Hölzel to Preuss.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Lang came from the German region of Bamberg. The 1767 census records that Johannes Lang came from the German village of Reichenbach in the Bamberg region.
