Heinrich / Friedrich Lange, a tailor (Schneider), his wife Elisabeth, and son Jakob (age 8) are recorded on the 1767 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 33. They had settled there on 27 August 1766.

Son Jakob from Katharinenstadt is recorded on the 1798 census of Beauregard in Household No. Bo30.

The 1767 census records that Heinrich / Friedrich Lange came from the German village of Nieder-Ramstadt in the Darmstadt region.
