Joseph LeBloine, a blacksmith (Schmied), settled in the Volga German colony of Franzosen on 16 May 1766. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 40 along with his wife Friederika Wesel and son François (age 2).
The 1767 census records that Joseph LeBloine came from the French region of Champagne.
