Discussion & Documentation

Johannes Lehr & Margaretha Joss were married on 18 March 1766 in the Lutheran Church of Büdingen.

Johann[es] Konrad Lehr, a farmer, and his wife Anna [Margaretha] arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the barque named Fortitudo under the command of Skipper John Scott.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Krasnoyar on 20 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 62.

In 1776, Johannes Lehr left Krasnoyar.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Konrad Lehr came from the German region of Landsberg. The 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Grünberg in the Darmstadt region.
