Jacques LeJenne, a plowman (laboureur), age 22, is recorded on a list of French colonists dated September 1764.

Jacques LeJean [sic], a carpenter (Tischler) and his wife Anna settled in the Volga German colony of Franzosen on 28 July 1765. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 16.

The 1764 list of colonists records that Jacques LeJenne came from the French region of Beauce. The 1767 census records that Jacques LeJean [sic] came from the French village of Bellême.
