Lemmermeier (Leitsinger)
Johann Georg Lemmermeier, a farmer, and his wife Katharina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 30 May 1766 aboard the pink Lopamink under the command of Lieutenant Kryukov.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Leitsinger on 12 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 24. When Leitsinger was destroyed, the Lemmermeier family resettled to the colony of Neu-Kolonie where they are recorded on the 1798 census (Nk39).
The Joseph Lemmermeier family is recorded on the 1834 census of Neu-Kolonie in Household No. 1.
The 1767 census records that Georg Lemmermeier came from the German village of Marinman in the district of Falkenstein.
