Lieber (Straub)
Wilhelm Lieber, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov. He settled in the Volga German colony of Straub on 12 May 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 58 along with a note that his wife had died there on 26 October 1767.
The 1798 census of Kraft records Wilhelm Lieber there in Household No. Kf07.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Wilhelm Lieber was a farmer from the German region of Nassau. The 1767 census records that Wilhelm Lieber was a miller (Müller) from the German village of Kirchheim in the Nassau-Weilburg region.
