Lieber (Zürich)
Peter Lieber, a cobbler (Schuhmacher), his wife Katharina, and daughter Christina (age 1½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Gabriel Wild.
Peter Lieber, a cobbler (Schuhmacher), his wife Katharina, and son Johann (age 9-months) are recorded on a list of Beauregard recruits (Household No. 32) appended to the 1767 census of the Volga German colonies.
In 1783, Peter Lieber and his family moved from Zürich to Katharinenstadt.
The 1767 census records that Peter Lieber came from the German village of Gerbach.
