Linker (Stephan)*
David Linker, his wife, Anna, and children (Johann, age 12; Anna; age 10½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the barque named Fortitudo under the command of Skipper John Scott.
David Lenker [sic], his wife Anna Maria, and children (Johann Nicolaus, age 12; Anna Maria, age 10¼; Conrad, age ¼) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that wife Anna Maria along with children Johann Nicolaus and Conrad died en route.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Stephan on 24 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 11.
The 1767 census records that David Linker came from the German village of Einhausen in the Darmstadt district.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Linker family among the Volga German colonies.
