Jakob Litke, a farmer, his wife Anna, and daughter Maria (age 5) arrived from Danzig at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 April 1766 aboard a two-masted merchant ship named Der Kleine Andreas (The Little Andrew) under the command of Skipper Jacob Jensen.
They settled in the colony of Hussenbach and are recorded there on the 1798 census in Household No. Hs036.
The death in 1806 of Jakob Litke is recorded on the 1811 census of Hussenbach in Household No. 36. There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Jakob Litke came from the German village of Marienwerder.
